Always have the tank full. The secret to making the car fast is ensuring that it is as light as possible. This might temp you to drain the tank to reduce the weight of the car. This should not happen, as the car cannot move without gas. You will also need the gas to get to the house after the event. Always check the level before starting the race. You do not want to end up stuck on the middle of the road due to lack of gas.

Do not forget to take notes. Part of been a racer is figuring out how to improve performance and how to make the car quicker. Always carry a notebook and a pen to write down what you learn. Note the weather condition, tire pressure, and other factors involved.
