Tips To Get Best Free Sci Fi Books

By Melissa Parker

Fans will always have different opinion about books. One would appeal to some more than the others, no matter how highly rated they are. Then others would somehow still gain a following no matter the bad reviews. That is the thing with bookworms. The word good for them would always be something subjective.

Someone once said that the rules of writing comes down to two simple words. And that is reading and writing. This is what makes a good writer. Before that however, you must develop your love of also having the best free scifi books in your possession or your shelf, to be more specific.

Some bookworms would have personal preference when it comes to what they would like to read. There are those who would stick to classic fictions and the rest would to have some liking for trilogies, regardless of the genre. Then again when it comes to genre, fantasy and science fiction seems to stand out. Especially to the younger ones.

It can get heated up, with one not agreeing to how a list was compiled. That does not matter. It does not have to be like that because each reader have favorite picks and you cannot argue with someone who loves Tom Clancy more than Robert Ludlum and others who would fall in the same category as them.

A good one does not always mean the most modern. There are vintage ones that are critically acclaimed and deserves a bit more attention. Then again a following is rarely guaranteed. Not unless it is something as genius as 1984 by author George Orwell, which inspired the reality franchise show Big Brother.

Others have come across as flops but they have still earned a place among readers. Over the last decade, this has become revolutionary as authors became more creative. But of course, the likes of Margaret Atwood and Orwell still cannot be replaced. Maybe because it is tougher for these writers. Like others, they have to earn their place.

Before it ends up disappointing you, ask friends and fellow bookworms about what they think. Their word would often count when it comes to this. This may not be a competition but one of your friends may be more versed about science fiction than anyone else you know. Go online and read blogs.

Try to figure out what good or best means to you. Look at it this way. A Harry Potter novel may not exactly have the same effect to you as the Lord Of The Rings trilogy. Also, do not wait for adaptations in the big screen before you buy a copy of Fahrenheit by Ray Bradbury. A success in the cinemas does not necessarily warrant it to be a good read. Otherwise, prepared to be disappointed.

Go online and check websites because there are endless lists there of suggestions about which ones are the best reads. And this is based on polls from readers across the globe. Check websites and blogs that will give you links to free pdf files that you can download them from. For sure, you will not be spending a dime on this.
