Complexity of the written language is obvious compared to just speaking the language. Mainly, writing the language require more word usage. Words are exact and varied. Phrases are usually written with nouns as the main base. Grammar formation is complex which includes clauses and verb are in passive forms. That being formal in its state, bear in mind that you should avoid using slang and common words and expressions.

This style of expression is more objective. It is seldom that it would use personal language and the figures and facts are exact. What this means is that you will find very few words that points to the one writing or the reader but most of the content would be in the subject matter under discussion. No wonder, more nouns or adjectives are used than you would find adverbs in this style of expression.

It is the role of the writer to clarify to the reader on the relationship between the texts because this style of expression focuses on the text relationships. Various symbolic words can be used to make these connections significant.

Vocabularies in this style of expression are used perfectly. Subjects are mostly written with exact and few meanings. The words "phonetic" and "phonemics" are clearly noticed in Linguistics whereas common English doesn't. In doing an academic write-up, one should be firm on his stand on the information the writer needs to convey.

The 'hedge' technique is widely by the academic writing expert. If you make any claims as an academic writer, you should always justify them and offer evidence as well. You should also ensure that the texts that you have used are well comprehended.
