Novels About Americans In Mexican Prisons

By Lelia Hall

Everyone longs to live a smooth life which has no difficulties. However, sometimes bad luck crosses someones path and for one reason or another, he ends up as an inmate in a prison facility. This is never one of the most desirable experiences and most of those who have had to undergo this life always dread going back there. The article below contains details to do with novels about Americans in Mexican prisons.

One marine soldier wrote a book describing his time in one of the most famous Mexican jails. He claimed that he was wrongly arrested from the possession of a short-gun and has never seen such a hard time in his entire life. He wrote and said that he spent almost four months chained to his bed and during these times a lot of threats were made to his life and his family as well and no proper healthcare was given.

Several writers emphasize the fact that at first in the prisons, although the conditions are tough, things gets a lot worse once the individuals in question are discovered to be of a foreign origin. They are hated for no apparent reasons and even individuals here go to the extent of denying them something to eat and in addition to that, they become common targets of the other inmates who often bully them.

According to other authors, some even go as far as being raped by almost all the individuals in the prison and they claim that it is just but a miracle to get out of these jails in one piece. This is due to the fact that most American citizens are just executed and their bodies put in bags for disposal.

Most of the persons who have not got to have a taste of life behind the prison walls in this state always claim that escaping might be a good option, it is, but the possibility is very small. One can hardly escape the heavily guarded prisons but for the lucky ones who get to have a chance, they live to tell about the time they served. However most of the individuals who try this are caught and shot dead on the spot.

In the various descriptions in different novels, the descriptions of these prisons are just amazing. Americans who have been unfortunate enough to serve time here say that in most of the cells, there are no windows; inmates are made to sleep on the concrete floor as no sort of bedding is provided and the situation is just pitiful. If one does not adjust with time, he may develop depression and this may be long term.

Writings go ahead to shed light to the fact that there is a lot of corruption I these cells and the inmates are just not any other normal type. This is because they have with them crude weapons and money which they use to bring terror upon those with no connections and after offering bribes to the soldiers, they can be able to get away with almost any crime.

To sum up the above, for years and years on end, Americans have experienced nightmares in these jails. Most even do not live to tell their stories. A solution to this could be got by the American government putting more efforts to rescue their suffering residents.
