To make money by providing writing services, there are several ways you can generate revenue - both through writing and other additional services. Let's look at five ways that you can make more money through your writing services.

Of all the services you can provide, the most obvious is simply writing. Whatever type of writing you're providing, your end goal is to find clients who are unable to write for themselves, or simply not interested in doing so.

There are plenty of additional "add-on" services you can add to your offerings, however. One of the obvious ones is market and/or keyword research.

If you offer article writing for people who are using the content on their websites, you could also offer keyword and market research to those same people. Instead of simply writing a bunch of articles based on a list of topics you receive from your client, you could handle the entire process - research the keywords/topics, find good affiliate offers, write the articles, etc.

Article spinning is another service that is often popular with people looking for web content. Whatever your personal opinion on spinning might be, there are lots of people who use it as part of their content strategy.

What's stopping you from offering spinning as an add-on service for your article writing? Spinning can be time-consuming so many marketers will pay more for the spinning service than they do for the initial seed article.

You could also go a step further and offer graphic and/or web design services as another add-on. Instead of just writing a report you could write the report, design a minisite for it, create cover graphics and various other things.

If you're not a graphics person yourself, you could even sub-contract this work out to an outsourcer. It's harder to find good writers than good designers, partly because of language barriers, so you can often outsource this work and still earn some profit after you mark it up and pass the costs along to your customers.

Look beyond the writing itself, at all the processes involved in marketing. This can give you plenty of ideas for additional services that you can offer your customers. With a little effort, you could expand into a "one-stop" shop for all your customers' needs.
